Additional Opportunity: Seismograph Operators Certificate Program
Sponsored by the ISEE Seismograph Section, this program delivers expert-led training focused on the proper use of blasting-type seismographs to monitor ground vibration and air overpressure from blasting operations. Designed for professionals working in blasting, construction, mining, and regulatory roles, this program provides hands-on instruction and real-world guidance to ensure accurate and compliant seismograph use in the field.
This training will be held Friday, November 14, 7:30–11:30 a.m. at the conference site. Three hours of training will be followed by a 30-minute test. A certificate of completion will be awarded to those receiving a 75% or better passing score. The certificate will also indicate 3 hours of professional development hours (PDH). The certificate will have an expiration of 3 years.
Cost: $50 for ISEE members, $100 for nonmembers
